A Shout-out to a Friend!

She was the person I met in high school, someone I fell in love with.

We shared some of the funniest and most intimate moments together, and over time and loads of school we have drifted a little. We still talk, and see each-other when she's back in TO, but that close physical contact has waned.

In this post I wanted to give a shout-out to all my friends, who keep me going and smiling. Sometimes we argue, for hours...sometimes we sit in silence as someone else entertains us, but through it all we love each-other.

Many many virtual hugs :)

I love you all more than you will ever know!

I also want to send out a shout-out to anyone who stumbles on this blog, I hope you like what you read, or at least find it amusing, and if time allows do send me an email and say hi...I always love to have more friends, as it makes the world a brighter place.

FIDO Goes Green!!!

Fido Canada has released a new phone, and its green!! No not only in colour, but in what is said to be carbon emissions.

Motorola's W233 is what FIDO is given me as a choice for trying to do my part for the environment....oooh and its cheap too....kinda what might be expected with a bare-bones phone of this sort.

So what are my thoughts??? Well, apart from carbon neutral phones...which I'm reading up on as I type this, I find the concept intriguing. Motorola produced the casing of the phone from recycled water bottles and off-set the production CO2 with credits purchased from CarbonFund.com. Given my personal interest with mining and Africa, I can safely say it would be nice if the metals inside were certified "ethically" produced (so no DRC metals!).

I know I know, I might be wanting more then Motorola is willing to give at the moment, but a girl can dream.

I think its an awesome move by FIDO, who I am more likely to switch to so as to get access to this phone....That's right Solo, kiss my $50/month goodbye. But there are a few things to consider.

The W233 may be the only phone I know by name, but it is certainly not exempt from a bit of critical analysis. Which brings me to my next point. Given the crazy amount of waste in the cell-phone business, new phones coming out all the time and people upgrading; is a green phone really green when you consider the fact that you need to ditch your old phone, in order to get this new one?

I'm all for recycling and being green, but maybe the idea is to reduce crap we have, not upgrade to more stuff just to say your "green" while creating more waste for masses of the poor the world over to have to "disassemble" and make a shitty living on. If you don't know what I'm referring to check (google) where most electronic waste is shipped to and what is done with it.

More so than anything, given people's excessive need of many electronic items, the smart thing would be to produce a phone that is made of recycled products, and eliminates the need for a camera/mp3 player/tiny computer. The W233 does not do this, if anything by getting this phone you must also buy all the above separetly (especially if you depend on your phone for pic taking). The idea is to simplify life by getting less crap, but when you do get stuff try and combine everything so that you have a 2for1 or 4for1 deal. Kinda like an awesome much improved version of the Apple iphone, only made with the idea of the Mototola W233.

I congratulate Fido and Motorola, and if I'm going to switch my plan I may consider the W233 and Fido (as my provider) for that matter , but I may be more willing to do this if some or all of the above suggestions are met.

What it comes down to kids, is the commercialization of environmentalism. Its all good and dandy that companies want to be green, but maybe just maybe the whole economic system needs to switch from a waste-economy (cradle-to-grave) to a cradle-to-cradle system.

Any electronic purchase is a purchase of "want", so lets work to limit the "want" and when a "must" is encountered, we make that purchase a smart one. If the W233 came out last year when I signed-up for my Solo account I would of gotten it, but now I may just do something more green and get a smart-phone and pay off some of the carbon emissions online myself. Seems more like something I might do, if I need a new phone, this is kinda a touchy subject as I usually keep my phones for about 4 yrs. But I do need a digi. camera and my cellphone plan isn't so awesome that I want to keep it, so stay tuned for my search of a digi.cam/cell phone (2for1 deal) both awesome in price and utility.

This brings me to Samsung's Blue Earth phone; a smart phone of sorts with solar panels on the back to help with charging. A brilliant idea, and I believe it has a camera too!!! Now let the green cell-phone makers wars begin!!! Its all about competition, and we need more of it to get amazing products that are smartly designed.

until another day,
yours truly,

I Hate Smores!**

I don't know why people like these things: melted marshmallows, chocolate, and some sort of biscuit....and incredibly sweet for my taste.

Who ever came up with this had a good thing going with chocolate, or maybe a quality biscuit, but to add a marshmallow was sin!! SIN!!

I feel like its taste is still in my mouth, and I had a bit of it 10 minutes ago!!! ooooh how I wish I wouldn't of!

To all you out-there in this wide world of the web...look not at smores as something to consume, but something to never again make! If you crave a tasty treat grab anything but a smore, because these things are a big bore!!!

**all opinions expressed within this blog are mine, and you do not have to share them although it might benefit you if you do :)

STOP using Sunscreen!!!

For the love of corals...Stop Using Regular Sunscreen!!!

Yes, I have been known to not wear sunscreen, I've also been known to have a nice lobsterish red tint to my skin at the beginning of summer....think of delicate red roses :)

I have always gone semi a-natural, and sunscreen has always been the "crap...I forgot...oh well next time".

Well well, I've been redeemed. Apart form the wrinkles I'm told I will have, I have also been saving coral reefs. Now, I'm not one to brag all that much, but its just amazing that I've been an environmentalist without even knowing it lol. Apparently, new research show's that 10% of the worlds coral reefs are in danger of bleaching due to the sunscreen that washes off from swimmers.

Now, fear not...not all sunscreen is bad, the mineral kind is Ok...apparently researchers in Australia tested 4 regular kinds and all had the same effect thanks to some buto-something chemical. Yes yes, I forgot its whole chemical name, but you can't blame a girl from not catching all the details when she's perusing the radio-waves. Anywhoo, I'm here as the friendly messenger. Keep ya sunscreen off the corals!!!

Thanks,
and as always much love,

The Cruel World of Writing Papers

It always come's down to this, for the first 2 months I take my sweet-ass time in researching and reading relevant things for whatever independent studies I'm doing. Then in the 3rd month I panic a bit and read a bit more, and then 1.5 weeks till the due date I try and take all that reading, at which point I remember 30% of and punch-out a paper.

I know the above sounds wonderful, what student doesn't do this, right? But, in my case I like to think I'm a master at it, and push it to more like 3 days before something is due. So in case you ever find yourself procrastinating and reading reddit.com, then take solace in that I probably read it 3 times and way too many blogs to count, then made food twice over...went to the gym, watched some commercials on tv (I never seem to get a show when its actually on), and then checked my email a gazillion times before I wrote my 1st page..stay tuned to what I like to do when I get to my 5th page.

Oh the wonders of grad school :)

cheers to long night 24 hrs before something is due!

I never thought I would hear this on TV.

Ok, so just so that I don't keep ya all waiting, this post has to do with Lady Gaga. A new-on-the-scene performer who more than once makes my ears perk-up and my head tilt.

Her lyrics are bad-a*s, ok ok ok ... maybe not so bad a*s, more like slightly awesome, and as a big plus some of her songs are quite enjoyable. So you must understand why it is that I loved this interview, for all its gaganess and freshness.

Yes you heard it right "A Really Big Donkey Dick"....Bravo Lady Gaga, I love you even more now. Finally there is some variety in media language. Oooooh.. let the vocabulary craziness begin!!

Love you all,
more posts to come :)

Like a Fox!

A fox is pretty, furry, awesome, and quite the diver !

I'm sharing this video with you because it's awesome, here's a fox that can dive better than I can after practicing and doing more than my fair share of belly-flops (which incidentally really hurt).

A Word Up to My Fellow Sisters!!

I love women, I always have and always will. In whatever circumstances I always give women more props than men, and I've always told everyone if I was a man I would be a ladies-man through-and-through. Alas I am not a man, and oddly have not developed a sexual attraction to women, granted I appreciate their bodies immensely.

This brings me to a revelation I wanted to share with you, as much as I love human women this type of respect translates to all other species. This is where I want to introduce you to the Ant. A Brazilian ant species that has evolved to clone itself and decided to leave-out the male specimen. Yes, this ant colony is all female and thanks to this they are the most productive farmers on earth (within the ant spectrum).

I'm not saying that males are expandable, but it does pose some really interesting things one can ponder in the late of night with a cup of ice-cream.

I am aware of the fact that this could be flipped, but as such men are still not able to carry babies to term so I will continue to be flamboyant about this topic and enjoy the "what-if" :)

peace and love to all,

I Hate the Taliban

I try and be optimistic, I try and understand where people come from and different points of view. But, today I reached a level of anger I haven't experienced in a long time. Specifically this was thanks to a cell-phone video of a girl being whipped, because she was "maybe" seen with a married man (this is apparently a maybe b/c only one neighbour allegedly saw her talking to him near her house).

The Taliban have made huge inroads into Pakistan, and due to the fu*ked-up mess the US left in Afghanistan, the crazy mother-fu**ers have began their rein of terrorizing women. How sick these bastards must be. Yes perhaps I'm not being culturally sensitive, but it just makes me sick to see a girl scream in pain, and a circle of old decrepit men standing around gloating. I just do not understand how little respect you must have for another human being, namely women, to do such unjust things. All the more reason to pressure the Pakistani government into patrolling their region better. Yes I am aware of the difficulty of this, not to mention the meddling of the US and their left-over crap, but woman's rights are being systematically stripped and its hard to stand-by and watch this.

More action, less crap like this is allowed to happen.

A Call to Save Bluefin Tuna

I love sushi, and a few day's ago as I walked along Bloor, I found to my utter disbelief that my favourite shushi place was bordered up and closed down. I almost cried, I even dreamed the following night of talking to the owner and asking where the sushi-chef had gone so I could follow him...yes it is quite a commitement, almost an unspoken love I had of the place. Not because that was the only sushi place in Toronto, but because Osaka Sushi was the only place I found had the best veggie sushi. Their shitake mushroom roll has been a staple of my diet for years, and now I will never taste its succulent flavour.

This got me thinking about the crazy world of real sushi, with raw fish. It got me thinking that perhaps everyone who has been gulping down sea-food sushi has been implicit in the culture of destroying our oceans.

Think of the Bluefin Tuna...a crazy big fish, that can live up to 30 years and be as long as 14 feet. A top predator to say the least. The Norther Bluefin Tuna is native to the Atlantic, and in Canada has a rich history. Yes, I bet you didn't know that Canada had Tuna, especially this giant one, that makes the mouths of the Japanese or sushi-lovers the world over salivate. Well now you know, and you should also know that the population has seen upwards of an 80% decline in population.

So why do I care about this, because our oceans are being systematically killed, not so much by global warming or pollution, but because we are fishing them out and not giving a DAMN about it.

How disgusting can we as humans get, that we pay so little attention that we let this travesty go by. I a long time ago said no to sea-food, the only seafood I eat now is well grown Spirulina, and seaweed. Not because I hated the taste, far from it, but because I cared enough and made a choice.

So please make a choice, and look into what is happening with our oceans. I am not asking you to stop eating all fish, if you do not want to, but to be smart about the fish you eat. Below I am providing some links, so take a look and make your choice. Bluefin Tuna as well as Sharks and millions of other sea-animals are at stake, more so it is all of the earth.

Hero Rats!!

There is justice in this world. After all the years of wining-for and defending the noble rat, I have come across the Adopt a HeroRAT project.

The creature most people think of as a pest is saving human lives, it is reasserting its awesomeness. Yes, it is the majestic rat that is de-mining fields in Mozambique and sniffing out TB in patients.

Please check-out the above link, and if you are a fellow rat lover give a nod of approval to this fine creature. If you have (up to now), thought of the rat as a pest, rethink your stance and come join me in loving rats...in all their glory.

I always though being born in the year of the rat, not any rat but golden rat was a blessing. In many ways, it was predestined that I love rats. My parents never shared my appreciation, and whole-heartedly disapproved of my "rescue" of rats at my cats paws, but after all these years I know it was for a better cause.

Sometimes the things we dislike the most bring forth the most wonderful innovations, and those things that we like we definitely do for a bigger purpose.

From this day forth you can call me the "anna the rat lover"

cheers

The Race Question!

I hate when people use the race card, there is only one race: the human race.
Within it are many many different people, all unique, all beautiful.

No one should be defined by the colour of their skin, hair, or eyes. My character show's through my actions, not through my skin; this is true for everyone.

I have always hated racism, or in more general terms ignorance and hurting ppl. As far back as I can remember, my stomach would turn every-time bad comments were made about ppl, many times it was me. Kids can be cruel, adults even more so. Racism exists, it exists everywhere people are different, and it would be nice if it didn't.

You may think...but wait Anna, you are white...and yes, I am white; almost see-through when the winter is long and no sun to be seen. But I have experienced racism. I have also seen people be racist, or do racist things. I have seen the sorrow and pain in a persons' eye's who is the victim of racism, and I hate what it does to you. How it makes you feel, somehow inadequate. I have felt it.

I find myself currently at the end of a tail-spin of all different kinds of tension. I am the evil white girl; the home wrecker, devil worshiper (yes this has been thrown my way). I am also that which stands at the intersection of tradition and choice.

The world needs work, not the earth and its beauty, but the world people have constructed within their minds. The change that I yearn most, seems a far glimmer. The world that I see and experience is a lot more harsh, fast paced than I have ever imagined.

Yet it is so beautiful. The duality of the Beauty and the Beast.....The world was so much easier when I was young, Belle found Beast..they fell in love...ppl didn't accept it...but magic happened and then everything turned out fine...love prevailed.

Life isn't like Disney, it isn't so clear-cut, no rose is losing its petals telling you that you are losing your humanity. There are only jabs and jerks, stumbles on the road to death.

How soon can aliens come down and show the ppl of the earth that we are one and the same, maybe throw in some super energy reactor that will power our stuff problem free. OH my Aliens where are though!!

In honour of the world and ppl that experience conflict, I give you a bit of spoke word. Spoken from the heart. Enjoy.

Damn Apple Inc.!

I thought my like of Apple was over, when my Ipod video died. Yes I dropped it, but who cares. It refused to restart and then the hard drive died.

Yes I did try the "lets open our ipod and change the hard drive" only to damage the case, and make it look like Terminator chewed on it. Yes it was relatively new 1-5 yrs, and yes I had to toss it. Along with any like of Apple products, especially when Itunes wanted me to get an account...for which they wanted my credit card.

Now, I'm no longer a CC user, I stay away from the darn things like my life depended on it, unfortunately the remaining monthly payments hound me down. But you live and learn ppl, live and learn. CC companies are similar to fat kids, they just want more and more. But! I have taken a responsible way out, and decided that as soon as I can afford a shack in Jamaica or St. Lucia...ideally Hawaii, I will move and not tell them..THIS includes YOU OSAP!

Ok, I am getting too ahead of myself on bills (that's another post), I want to talk to you about my new love of apple. All in one tiny little piece of machine that I've had many moons ago, and which just couldnt stand-up to my ipod video so it got sidelines along the way. BUT no longer, because Apple gave it a makeover. ONe that, I kid you not, seems to have been catered to build back my love.

THE new and improved Apple iShuffle! Oh its so pretty, oh it tells you what's playing...and most importantly: you can switch play lists!! ooooooh my hear is melting!! oh Apple I love you!

Yes hope is renewed in the world, sometimes in the strangest places we find daily light to keep us going. Today it was Apple's email in my mailbox that got the old metal heart working again, almost turning it human.

ooooooh so beautiful

Time to take a look at the World!

What are government's doing to help people?

Recently I read that a load of Indian-made HIV drugs purchased by the Clinton Foundation was confiscated by Dutch authorities, because their distribution and make violate intellectual property rights!! Follow this link to read more.

I am so incredibly mad at this, largely because people are dying and big companies are making billions off of this. These companies are death-profiteers; much like in war zones you have companies/states come in and take(steal) resources (case in point DRC) because the population is powerless during a crisis. These companies profit from people who are on the cusp of dying, and the reason is: insatiable greed.

I ask this then, why should intellectual property rights be upheld at the expense of human rights. These companies have made their money back 10-fold, now it's time to give to the people of the world and stop biting the hand that feeds you.

The aspect of the government here is most disturbing. Government's are lobbied constantly, and as one lobbyist on Capital Hill said "poor people don't contribute to campaigns". We are faced with a system that forgets who it is here to serve. and its elected officials line their own pockets at the expense of the people that they are meant to help.

THERE is not JUSTICE in this type of system, and hence I await the results of Obama's administration in the hope that I am wrong.

I also want to add a little side note. Why is it that dentists are not included as part of the health plan in Canada, and in my specific region: Ontario. It boggles my mind how something that impacts your health as much as your teeth/mouth are considered an outside medical service. Even then, services such as massage therapy that are not normally paid for, will be if it is deemed as part of a recovery strategy.....but dentists nowhere in this stupid system are covered.

I will not go into how much $$$ going to a dentist costs, as I found this out (and still see on a monthly basis) courtesy of Visa. But, why the F*cK is this service not priced more afford-ably, and if not then why is part of it not covered by OHIP.

A little bit of ranting on a Saturday morning, but much needed in light of neglecting my awesome blogging duties :)

peace to all, and to all a good day

Orgasm While Reading....well almost

Yes...I almost got an orgasm while reading Mark Duffield's "War as a Network Enterprise: The New Security Terrain and its Implications." Found in Cultural Values, Vol. 6, Nos. 1 & 2: 151-165....and FREELY available at:

http://www.idrc.ca/uploads/user-S/10588048681Duffield_netwar2.pdf

I'm not one to get wild about academic work all too often, but Duffield is awesome and should be mandatory reading for all undergrads (which sadly I was not privy to while I was doing mine). Additionally Carolyn Nordstrom and her "Shadows of War" is an excellent read. Both speak to a network of extra-state transactions that are changing our society, and the need to somehow incorporate it into our 'old' (my emphasis) state system (a slightly nuanced interpretation...not as much of an academic one as I'm currently writing lol).

That's it for today!! Keep your brain from shrinking by getting a daily dose of "What...I didn't know that!!!"

Short post, I admit!!, but as time gets tighter and I need to finish a few papers, these are the cherries in my day that make things go POP!

Wishing you all happy reading "with a POP"!!

Why I love Bill Maher

Yes....I'm finally coming out, I though I could keep this to myself, but no longer can I keep my heart from bursting forth with awesome rainow filled admiration; I love...LOVE Bill Maher!

I would like nothing else than to take that little man and jump on him, then kiss him from head to toe.

I know I know, you are probably asking why, and to give you a full run-down would be difficult online, but his outspoken nature, tell-it-like-it-is personality, amazing documentaries and **drum roll please** recent comment on Phelps and Kellogg's, is song to my heart.

Mr. Maher made my heart jump for saying publicly (on Jay Leno [extra points]) what I've been thinking all along, but haven't built up my media empire enough (just yet) to do myself. For your reading pleasure I include a quote.

On Kellogg's dropping Phelps:
"I wish we could end this charade in this country that putting marijuana in your body is somehow worse than a thousand other things that people put in their body - including anything made by Kellogg's!" -Bill Maher on Jay Leno 2/10/09

Woooooohoooooo, THANK YOU Bill Maher for finally coming out and saying what needed to be said in your ever heart-stopping manner :)

Yes Kellogg's is rolling in its multi-million dollar bed, but evenutally they will realize what crap they sell and move along. Maybe spike some of their cereal with nutrient dense MJ seeds :)

That's my thought for the hour :)
peace to all

A Poetry Post.....musings of a time long gone

Happy belated Valentines day: otherwise known as "consumerism and lust 101"

--> my ode to Feb 14 (09):

talk talk talk
but what to say
to keep you lovin' and for another day?

To lighten my day, and to bring light to my writing skills (no not the good ones), I rummaged through my aged notebooks and found a bit of older writing I did when a bit of time became available.

There are so many things to talk about, but for now I just want to listen to music and eat chickpea stew :)

Enjoy :)

Late Night at a Tim Horton's

To start off, I had a late night. I woke up a few hours after I went to bed, and as divas all know: sleep is the secret to fresh beauty. I sadly inform you now that I am a bit tired, have zipper marks on half my face, and have been chowing down on lettuce as a lunch and breakfast meal to get some energy in me.

The lettuce part will be it's own post, "the no good leafy green" post lol, but I will leave that for another day. The main point of today's post is related to my previous Kartel post. Which leads me to why I had a late night. No it wasn't me hard at work, more or less it was me and a cup of cold tea and 3 long hours of a debate on rights in Canada as related to Dance Hall artists.

As you may of noticed in the lyrics I posted, Kartel and Spice say they do not like gays, which is everyone's own opinion, but they take it to another level by saying that gays should be shot. This is where the debate started.

Although I'm all for freedom of expression, it is my belief that you should be free to express yourself as long as you are not infringing on the right to safety of someone else. This is a corner-stone in protecting people from other peoples ethnic/sexist phobias. In many way's it was present when slavery was abolished, and when people came to their senses and finally decided that there is no different between a white woman/man and a black woman/man. Each person may be unique, but all people share the same basic DNA and emotions, and deserve respect. This is where the Universal Declaration on Human Rights makes its stage entrance, it is by far the most important human document crafted since the modern world began to form. It may not be followed, but the idea is pure brilliance and should be upheld.

Now back to Dance Hall and its sometimes very homophobic lyrics, my partner thought that it is immoral to deny entrance to artists like Kartel and Spice because they sometimes sing about hating gays. He pointed to how they grew up and that homophobia is in large part a significant social norm in Jamaica (where these artists come from), and in turn they should not be punished for their personal beliefs as supported by their communities. I should also point out, he was coming at the issue from a personal background perspective so it was at times difficult to separate the emotional from the logical trains of thought, but each to his/her own. Below you will find my response, keep in mind I am thinking about this from my own perspective and directing it in a way that only responds to the potential actions I would take, not the groups that ask to ban certain Dance Hall artists.

So to start, free speech is not a part of Canada....you are free to express yourself as long as that expression is not in conflict with someone else's right to life/existence. Safety from harassment being key. By this extension if an artist is promoting violence against any group it is reasonable to ask them to alter their performance if they want to perform in a country that gives the same rights to gays, as it does to straight people.

Following this logic, I believe it is necessary to not start to ignore Dance Hall music, but embrace it while letting the artists know that certain aspects of their lyrics are unacceptable, but that if they change we will more than embrace them. Perhaps their audience will grow, after all gay people don't only listen to Cher LoL.

To point to another example, addressing the issue my partner brought-up about asking someone to change their morality based on an issue they feel strongly about because you feel like you know better.
In my response I admit I was a little taken aback, after all I am one of those people who preach that people, especially in what is the global South, need not crappy help from the West; but need to be apologized to and given reparations for all the horrible harm that the West has and still continues to inflict (aka. World Bank...3rd world debt....the stealing of natural resources etc). I came back at this with my final though that will finish off this post: people have a right to expression as long as it does not impose on someone else's right to life free of conflict and violence.

Hundreds of years ago, white people were lead to believe that they were better than coloured people and through this they could enslave people. This in itself was wrong, and so a change had to be made, and it was. The people that believed (to their bones) that whites were superior were challenged and successfully so. This lead to Martin Luther King Jr. and again segregation being challenged. This happened because people did not buy into the idea that one person is better than another due to skin colour or creed. This is what has lead to a new president who represents a group of people who have long been harmed by social policies created so that a group in power could stay in power.

So to you who read this blog, I engage you in this discussion to think about not only what has transpired but what continues to have to transpire so that all people can live free lives. This is especially true now, when communities fear immigrants/migrants because they fear change.

Think...think...think.....act :)

peace and love

Why Vybz Kartel will never get signed by an American label !!

I love Dance Hall music, the beats are amazing and you can't help but dance. The best beats to grind to are (in my opinion) Dance Hall beats. This is probably one of the reasons why I always wondered why I get to hear so few of these killer songs on the radio. That is, I had no idea until I started to decipher the language.

You know what I mean, you love the music but have no idea what the person signing is saying, apart from some semblance of what might be the chorus. This was me with Dance Hall, especially my all time favourite song by Sean Paul, Deport Them.

This was me until I decided I needed to brush-up on my language skills, and stop signing "la la la la dutty la la la dutty boy" (I kid you not) instead of the real lyrics. Listening to Deport Them for purely the lyrics was my first taste of how crazy-sexual Dance Hall music is, and how toned down it is for an American audience.

This goes into my highly held opinion that Americans (and yes us Canadians as well) are a little shy when it comes to sexual content, no matter how crazy our own sex lives might be or how much we want them to be. So today's post is no less than a call-out to all those closet sexaholics: be no longer afraid of your body and what it can (and can't do), but enjoy that which it is doing (hopefully on a daily basis lol). As an ode to this post I give you a taste of Dance Hall (I do not agree with the homophobic ideas circling around in the industry), purely I aim to open your eyes (and legs) to the sex.

Below I present to you my most recent dive into Dance Hall lyrics. A relatively new song, but one that I giggle at whenever I get to the "satellite dish" part. In case you want to listen to it I also include the video.

Just so you get the awesomness of this song....below are the lyrics. So yes yes Kartel (or whomever I happen to like at the moment...spin me around like a satellite dish :)

[Intro:]
[Kartel:] Ah di techer
[Spice:] And ah spice
[Kartel:] Every man grab a gyal
[Spice:] And every gyal grab a man
[Kartel:] Man to man, gyal to gyal dats wrong
[Spice:] Scorn dem
[Kartel:] All wen a nite yuh pussy feel like sun hot; wen yuh come inna mi ramping shop
[Spice:] Mek sure yuh kno how fi wuk and ah nuh chat yah ah chat

[Verse 1:]
Hey, mi cocky longa than mi nine

A Curious Discovery

I forgot I had a blog!!

I've been so busy with life, and my many temporary interests that this blog has gone the way of the giant Colombia snake (fossil) that was just found. I kid you not, it is the length of a bus! swallow that those who fear snakes!

I am back, I recognize I love...just love writing. Not the book style (although I am trying), but the general 'this is life and this is how I'm dealing with it' style. I hope you can appreciate this blog for what it is, a collection of little ol'me.

In the spirit of this new post I will update you all on what has happened in life. If you remember a previous entry on me and my crazy unknown path in life and where to take it, in a short statement in answer to that: I am now in Grad school! --> this does not make me more anything, it has just been a natural progression of my life thus far. Granted I now wish I was a vegan chef extraordinaire....with my own little B&B and a little cafe attached. No no, some of us who are on our way to higher education still don't know what to do with life, I would say that is probably why we are still in university LoL.

I welcome you all to this new and updated Blog....come one and all....

Now for some cool news!

Chocolate is good for you! I know many many people have been waiting for that, the caveat being that it should be raw dark chocolate! In my books, please do not hate me for this, chocolate isn't all that yummy; especially dark chocolate....I'm a fruit girl myself......ooooh sweet delicious pomegranates how I miss thee when you were a mere 99 cents.

Enough for now, to all a good day with lots of thoughts of warm May :)

peace
-Anna(r)
